Bachelor study program in PSYCHOLOGY
- Duration of studies: 3 years
- PSYCHOLOGY, full time studies (FT) – 100 seats;
- PSYCHOLOGY, part time studies (PT) – 50 seats.
The bachelor study program in Psychology provides courses and seminars that build competences related to general and specific issues, such as the study of the human behavior; mental processes; psycho-social phenomena; psychotherapy; transactional analysis; creativity; personality psychology; psychology of ages; development psychology; family psychology; psycho-sexology; labor psychology; learning psychology; experimental study of various mental abilities; psychological testings and evaluations at differente levels of labor market; psychological counselling in selecting the educational training to match the personal interests and skills; career development.
Upon completion of the three-year bachelor studies, the graduates will be granted a Diploma of Psychology, with the competences required by the programs of professional supervision, in compliance with Act 213 and the stipulations issued by the College of Psychologists in Romania (www.copsi.ro).

Bachelor study program in PEDAGOGY OF PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY SCHOOL

The preparation provided by the study progam in Pedagogy of Pre-school and Primary School represents the training and development of the competences and skills specific to a wide range of professional roles in educational institutions of pre-school and primary levels where graduates can be employed (schools and kindergartens in the public and private system, institutions of the traditional or alternative pedagogy educational system - Step by Step, Waldorf, Montessori, etc – after-school type programs for young students, social and extracurricular programs developed by NPOs, programs for special needs children of preschool and primary age, etc.
Upon completion of the three-year bachelor study program, the graduates will be granted a Diploma of Education Sciences, which will include the study program in Pedagogy of Pre-school and Primary education.
Professional competencies:
C1. Designing some training or study programmes specific to primary and early childhood education;
C 2. Conducting the specific educational activities;
C3. Assessing the learning process, the learning outcomes and the progress recorded by preschoolers / young age students;
C4. Managerial approach of the preschoolers / young age students group, of the teaching and learning process and of the learning / social integration activities specific to the subjects’ age;
C5. Providing counselling, orientation and psycho-pedagogical assistance for various categories of persons / educational groups (preschoolers / young age students / pupils, families, teachers, employees and the like)
C6 Assessment and permanent improvement of the professional practices leading to professional growth.

The study program in Pedagogy aims to train specialists for designing educational programs/of specific intervention for different educational levels and groups, implementing and carrying out educational programs, evaluating the educational programs, managing the educational groups and projects, professional development and career management, school and professional orientation and counselling, psycho-pedagogical assistance for the people with differentiated educational needs; lifelong learning programs, management of projects and educational programs in the public, non-profit or private sectors; the training and development of the human resources, consultancy in learning processes, continuous development, lifelong education, etc.

Based on the acquisition of such competences, our graduates can be employed as: preuniversity teacher with skills in the curricular area of Man and society (more subjects at the pedagogical high schools), designing/implementation and evaluation of educational prpjects, school and professional counselling and school orientation, management of the educational institutions, research in education, educational marketing, continuous education programs, activities of consultancy and evaluation of social and educational programs, expertise in designing and implementation of curriculum and of the initial and continuous training programs, trainers, etc.
Master study program in EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLING (interdisciplinary with the field of Psychology)
The mission of this master study program is to train school counsellors and career consultants in both the public and private sectors. The course and seminar activities pertinent to the two-year subjects, including practicum and research, will lead to accumulation of 120 ECTS credits.
The completion of the master studies comes after passing the dissertation exam, which is granted 10 ECTS credits beside the 120 of the entire cycle of studies. One year after graduation, the Master Diploma will be issued, including the master study program of EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLING (interdisciplinary with the field of Psychology). The Diploma is accompanied by a Supplement to Diploma (Romanian-English) listing the acquired competences and the academic records for each semester. The master study program in Educational Counselling provides courses and seminars that develop competences related to general and specific issues, such as:
Professional competences
- In-depth knowledge of the counseling activities, based on the identification and evaluation of certain psycho-emotional issues, dysfunctional and behavioral in individuals, groups, work or educational teams within the practicum activities;
- Use of the knowledge for launching and implementing programs of educational counseling for people of various ages, families, educational groups, managerial or of work, people or groups with high risk duties, people deprived of freedom, for difficult psycho-emotional, behavioral, communication, decisional situations;
- The integrated use of the conceptual and methodological apparatus for supplying specialty assistance in order to optimize the behavior and the interpersonal relations, to increase the awareness level in a person or group, the self-evaluation and self-control ability, the adjustment to various life situations, of individual or collective work, of decisions related to work or life;
- A gradual and pertinent use of evaluation criteria and methods, in order to formulate value judgments and substantiate constructive decisions for providing specialty assistance that will help with increasing the individual or collective performance of the learning and education activity in schools, kindergartens and special institutions of assistance and protection, so as to fight against the school deviance, lack of interest for learning, absenteeism or violence.
- Drafing professional and/or research projects, via an innovative use of a varied range of quantity and quality methods in activities of research, fundamental and applied, for individuals or research teams in the field of educational counseling and disseminating and implementing the research findings in the scientific field and of psychological and pedagogical principles;
Transversal competences
- Achieving complex professional duties under conditions of autonomy and professional independence, while complying with the entire activity and rules of good practices and norms of ethics and professional deontology;
- Assumption of roles/management functions for the activity of the professional groups (micro-groups for research topics);
- The self-control of the learning process, diagnosis of the training needs, the reflexive analysis of own professional activity;

Master study program in CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION
The master study program in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Intervention has an interdisciplinary opening towards the medical, anthropology, social assistance, special psychopedagogy fields, etc.
The master study program in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Intervention aims professionalization, thus providing an appropriate flexibility in terms of the compliance of the graduates with the requirements of the scientific and technological field, and also occupational and specialty. To this purpose, the program considers the competences classified into four categories related with the professional functions/roles:
- Psychological (psycho)diagnostic and clinical evaluation; the identification of the psychological factors involved in health and sickness;
- General and specific psychological intervention/assistance; specific – acquired from advanced programs of professional training, expressed in psychological counselling and psychotherapy; aims the control of the psychological factors involved in health and sickness at various levels of expertise (general versus specific);
- research, aims the investigation of the role played by the psychological factors in health and sickness;
- education and training, aims the involvement of the people already trained in this field in both the training of the new generations of professionals so as they become clinical psychologists, psychological counsellors and psycho-therapists (initial training) and in their professional development (continuous training).
